Ministries of defense and interior strongly condemn the deadly attack on journalists in capital Kabul.

Mohammad Masoum Stanikzai, the acting Defense Minister visited victims of Wednesday’s attack in the hospital and said that investigation is underway into the incident.

Sediq Sediqi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior also told a press conference today that all security agencies, particularly the police, have been conducting investigation into the attack and that the findings would be shared with the nation.

He also said that every resource would be utilized to protect journalists.

Sediqi, meanwhile, called on the nation to support security forces against Taliban and other insurgent groups.

In Wednesday’s suicide attack, the bomber targeted a shuttle bus of Kaboora Production, a sister entity to TOLO TV, on Dar-ul-Aman road near the Russian embassy in which seven employees of the production lost lives and 20 others sustained injuries.

Taliban who had threatened Tolo TV in October claimed responsibility for it.
